The Beginning of Jyothi Nivas Charitable Society

Jyothi Nivas Charitable Society is founded in 1989 by Mr. Johney P.A [ Maichel ], with the support of like minded friends and motivated by the services of Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata. The Home provides community-based care with family
atmosphere for treated and controlled mentally ill,Who are homeless and destitute, and it is a unique model in care giving and rehabilitation.

* To Enable the destitute mentally ill persons to lead a dignified life by way of providing various therapies, motivational guidance, and needed support.

* To create public awareness and understanding about the need of participating in psychosocial rehabilitation.

* To Provide vocational training to the treated amd controlled mentally ill persons with an aim of their economic and socail rehabilitataion.
